Section 37
The Director General may, in consultation with the State
Authority concerned, promote the development and rational management of inland fisheries through—
(a)
the conduct or co-ordination of research;
(b)
the provision and maintenance of experimental and demonstration aquaculture stations, fish-breeding stations and training centres;
(c)
the provision of advice and technical assistance to the appropriate authorities of the State;
(d)
the provision of publicity and demonstration facilities and other connected services; and
(e)
the provision of advice on measures for the prevention of fish diseases.
