Exposure of fittings

Section 44
A person who exposes a bell-and-spigot joint, mechanical coupling, valve or line insulator whilst carrying out an excavation work shall —
(a)
immediately notify the Commission or the licensee, as the case may be, of the exposed fitting; and
(b)
support the exposed fitting adequately to the satisfaction of the Commission or the licensee to ensure that no strain is caused to the gas installation.
