Section 240

Any Superintendent may, for any purpose arising in relation to the enforcement or carrying out of any sub-division, by notice in writing, require the proprietor or occupier of any land or building, or any person receiving, whether for himself or for another, rent out of any such land or building, to state in writing and deliver, or to forward by registered post, to the Superintendent, within a specified time, not less than twenty-eight days after being so required, particulars of the interest or right by virtue of which he owns or occupies such land or building or receives such rent, as the case may be, and the name and address, and the interest or right (so far as known to him), of every person who to his knowledge has any interest in or right over or in respect of such land or building.
