⎯(1)
The Majlis may appoint a fit and proper person to be a pegawai masjid in respect of any mosque.
(2)
Every person appointed by the Majlis to be a pegawai masjid, including every person deemed to have been so appointed under section 84, shall be given a tauliah by the Majlis and shall have such powers and duties as may be set out in their respective tauliah or in the rules made under this Ordinance.
