Section 84

was the President, Deputy President, Mufti or a member of the former Majlis, Lembaga or committee, if applicable, established under the repealed Ordinance or a pegawai masjid shall be deemed to have been appointed under this Ordinance and shall continue to serve as the President,

Deputy President, Mufti or a member of such Majlis, Lembaga or committee or a pegawai masjid, until other provisions relating thereto shall be made under this Ordinance or until the date of expiry of his appointment as such President, Deputy President,

Mufti, or member of such Majlis, Lembaga or committee or a pegawai masjid; and

was employed as an officer or servant of the former

Majlis shall on that date be deemed to be employed as an officer or servant, as the case may be, of the Majlis established under this

Ordinance upon the same terms and conditions of service as those obtaining immediately before the appointed date.

Transfer of powers, rights, liabilities and duties
