Temporary suspension of water licence

Section 84
—
(1)
The State Water Authority may, by notice in writing to the holder of a water licence, suspend temporarily for a period not exceeding ninety days all or any rights given under a water licence issued under this Part if it is satisfied that—
(a)
the holder of the licence or any person employed by him—
(i)
has breached any of the terms and conditions specified in the licence; or
(ii)
has contravened any of the provisions of this
Ordinance or the Water Ordinance, 1994 [Cap. 13]; or
(b)
conditions of severe drought require that the water be made available for other public purpose.
(2)
The decision of the State Water Authority to suspend a water licence under subsection (1) shall be final.
