Section 26B

Any authorized officer or police officer may arrest without warrant any person who commits or attempts to commit or abets the commission of an offence or whom he reasonably suspects of being engaged in committing or attempting to commit or abetting the commission of any offence under this Act or subsidiary legislation made thereunder if such person refuses or fails to furnish his name and address or there are reasonable grounds for believing that he has furnished a false name or address or that he is likely to abscond.
