Offences and liability for acts of agents or servants
of Pineapple Industry Act 1957
Where any offence against this Act is committed by a body corporate and is proved to have been committed with the consent or connivance of, or to have been attributable to any neglect on the part of, any director, manager, secretary or other officer of the body corporate, such director, manager, secretary or other officer, as well as the body corporate, shall be deemed to be guilty of that offence, and shall be liable to be punished in accordance with this Act.

Whenever any agent or servant in the course of his employment does or omits to do an act, the doing of which or omission to do which by his principal or employer would be an offence against this Act, such agent or servant shall be deemed to be guilty of that offence, and his principal or employer and any person who at the time of the act or omission was in charge of the business in respect of which the act or omission occurred shall also be guilty of that offence unless such principal or employer or other person, as the case may be, proves to the satisfaction of the court that he took all reasonable means and precautions to prevent such act or omission.
