Undang-Undang (Rumah Perjudian Terbuka, Loteri, Per-taruhan, Duti Pertaruhan dan Ambiltagan dan Lumba Kuda

(Lembaga Totalisator)) (Perluasan ke Negeri-Negeri Sabah dan

Sarawak) 1991 dan hendaklah mula berkuatkuasa pada tarikh yang ditetapkan oleh Menteri, melalui pemberitahuan dalam Warta.

Rumah Perjudian Terbuka 1953, Akta Loteri 1952, Ordinan Per-taruhan 1953, Akta Duti Pertaruhan dan Ambiltagan 1948 dan Akta

Lumba Kuda (Lembaga Totalisator) 1961 dan semua perundangan subsidiari yang dibuat di bawah undang-undang tersebut di atas sebagaimana yang dinyatakan dalam Bahagian IJ Jadual Pertama,

Akta Rumah Perjudian Terbuka 1953 ‘diubahsuaikan dengan cara yang dinyatakan dalam Bahagian I Jadual Pertama:

. Akta Loteri 1952 diubahsuaikan dengan cara yang dinyatakan dalam Bahagian I Jadual Kedua. :

Ordinan Pertaruhan 1953 diubahsuaikan dengan cara yang dinyatakan dalam Jadual Ketiga.

Akta Duti Pertaruhan dan Ambiltagan 1948 diubahsuaikan dengan cara yang dinyatakan dalam Bahagian | Jadual Keempat.

Perintah ini diperluaskan ke Negeri-Negeri Sabah dan Sarawak.

Dengan syarat bahawa apa-apa pengecualian, permit atau lesen yang dikeluarkan atau diberikan di bawah Ordinan Judi Sabah atau

Ordinan Judi Sarawak pada atau sebelum bermulanya Perintah ini, hendaklah terus berkuatkuasa sepenuhnya di bawah Ordinan masing-masing yang di bawahnya ia dibuat, dan hendaklah terus berkuatkuasa sehingga ia habis tempoh, atau diubahkan, dipinda atau dibatalkan di bawah undang-undang tersebut. Bagi maksud ini sahaja, Ordinan-Ordinan itu masing-masing hendaklah terus berkuatkuasa sepenuh-nya.

(EXTENSION TO THE STATES OF SABAH AND

SARAWAK) OrpDER 1991

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 74 of the Malaysia Act, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong makes the following order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Modification of Laws (Common

Gaming Houses, Lotteries, Betting, Betting and Sweepstake

Duties and Racing (Totalisator Board)) (Extension to the States of

Sabah and Sarawak) Order 1991 and shall come into force on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.

2. In this Order, “extended laws” means the Common Gaming

Houses Act 1953, the Lotteries Act 1952, the Betting Ordinance 1953, the Betting and Sweepstake Duties Act 1948 and the Racing

(Totalisator Board) Act 1961 and all subsidiary legislation made under the above-mentioned laws as specified in Part II of the First

Schedule, Part II or the Second Schedule, Part II of the Fourth

Schedule and paragraph 10 (2) of this Order.

3. The Common Gaming Houses Act 1953 is modified in the manner set out in Part I of the First Schedule.

4, The Lotteries Act 1952 is modified in the manner set out in Part

I of the Second Schedule.

5. The Betting Ordinance 1953 is modified in the manner set out in the Third Schedule.

6. The Betting and Sweepstake Duties Act 1948 is modified in the manner set out in Part I of the Fourth Schedule.

7. (1) The Common Gaming Houses Act 1953 as modified by this

Order is extended to the States of Sabah and Sarawak.

8. (1) The Lotteries Act 1952 as modified by this Order is extended to the States of Sabah and Sarawak.

9. The Betting Ordinance 1953 as modified by this Order is extended to the States of Sabah and Sarawak.

10. (1) The Betting and Sweepstake Duties Act 1948 as modified by this Order is extended to the States of Sabah and Sarawak.

11. (1) The Racing (Totalisator Board) Act 1961 is extended to the

States of Sabah and Sarawak.

Racing (Totalisator Board) Act 1961 is extended to the States of Sabah and Sarawak. .

12. (1) The laws set out in the Fifth Schedule are repealed:

Provided that any exemption, permit or licence issued or granted under the Gaming Ordinance Sabah or the Gambling Ordinance,

Sarawak on or before the commencement of this Order, shall continue to remain in full force and effect under the respective Ordinances under which it was made, and shall continue in force until it expires, or is varied, amended or revoked under the said laws. For these purposes only, the respective Ordinances shall continue to be in full force and effect.

Schedule.
