Terms and conditions of appointment

Section 39
(1)
A member of a Board shall, unless he sooner resigns, hold office for a period not exceeding three years and shall be eligible for reappointment.
(2)
The Minister may in the instrument of appointment of a person as a Visitor specify the terms and conditions of appointment.
(3)
A person shall not be appointed a Visitor if he has—
(a)
any pecuniary interest, whether directly or indirectly;
or
(b)
any other interest which conflicts or may conflict with the best interest of the patient, in the psychiatric hospital or psychiatric nursing home.
