Documents open to inspection
of Co-Operative Societies Act 1993
Every co-operative society shall keep—

(a)
a copy of this Act and the regulations or orders, directives or guideline;
(b)
a copy of its by-laws and last audited accounts;
(c)
a list of its members;
(d)
a list of the members of the Board;
(e)
the name of its chief executive officer, if any; and
(f)
a list of officers of the co-operative society concerned with the management of the co-operative society, if any, open to inspection, free of charge, at all reasonable times at the registered address of the co-operative society to members only.
(2)
Any co-operative society or officer of the co-operative society who fails to comply with subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction—
(a)
in the case of a co-operative society, be liable to a fine not exceeding two hundred thousand ringgit and shall in addition , be liable to a daily fine of one hundred ringgit for each day during which the offence continues after conviction; or
(b)
in the case of an officer of the co-operative society, be liable to a fine not exceeding two hundred thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both and shall in addition, be liable to a daily fine of one hundred ringgit for each day during which the offence continues after conviction.
