Documents to be lodged with the Commission
of Co-Operative Societies Act 1993
Every co-operative society shall lodge with the
Commission—

(a)
a list of members of the Board not later than fifteen days after its annual general meeting;
(b)
minutes of all general meetings not later than thirty days after the date of the meetings;
(c)
such other information as the Commission may require in regard to the constitution, membership, working and financial condition of the co-operative society , including the minutes of the Board meeting.
(2)
Any co-operative society or officer of the co-operative society who fails to comply with subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction—
(a)
in the case of a co-operative society, be liable to a fine not exceeding two hundred thousand ringgit and shall in addition, be liable to a daily fine of one hundred ringgit for each day during which the offence continues after conviction; or
(b)
in the case of an officer of the co-operative society, be liable to a fine not exceeding two hundred thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both and shall in addition, be liable to a daily fine of one hundred ringgit for each day during which the offence continues after conviction.
