Section 55
If an authorized officer has reasonable cause to believe that by reason of delay in obtaining a search warrant under section 54—
(a)
the investigation would be affected;
(b)
the object of the entry is likely to be frustrated; or
(c)
the book, record, apparatus, equipment, instrument, material, article, sample, blood, blood product, human tissue or fluid or any product of the human body, dialysate, chemical, pharmaceutical, substance or other thing which are the evidence of contravention is likely to be tampered with, removed, damaged or destroyed, he may enter the pathology laboratory or premises and exercise, in respect of the pathology laboratory or premises, all the powers referred to in section 54 as if he were authorized to do so by a warrant issued under that section.
