Section 41

Section 34 of the principal Act is amended—

(a)

in subsection (1)—

(i)

by inserting before the words “that there is reasonable ground” the words “or a police officer not below the rank of Inspector”;

(ii)

by substituting for the words “nuclear installation”

wherever appearing the word “facilities”; and

Atomic Energy Licensing (Amendment)

(iii)

by substituting for the words “prescribed substance, irradiating apparatus” the words “radiation generator”;

and

(b)

in subsection (2)—

(i)

by inserting before the words “may stop” the words

“or a police officer not below the rank of Inspector”;

(ii)

by substituting for the words “, and seize” the words

“, seize and seal”; and

(iii)

by substituting for the words “prescribed substance, irradiating apparatus” the words “radiation generator”.
