Saving
of Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2024
Any person who holds a valid certificate of registration as an electrical energy manager issued under the Electricity Supply
Act 1990 [Act 447] before the date of the coming into operation of this Act shall, on the date of the coming into operation of this Act, be deemed to be a registered energy manager under this Act and may carry out the functions and duties of a registered energy manager under this Act until the date of the expiry of the certificate of registration, provided that such person has made an application to be registered as an energy manager under this Act.

Any energy-using product in respect of which a valid certificate of approval under the Electricity Supply Act 1990
has been issued before the date of the coming into operation of this Act shall, on the date of the coming into operation of this Act, be deemed to have been issued in its respect a certificate of energy efficiency under this Act until the date of the expiry of the certificate of approval, provided that an application for a certificate of energy efficiency in respect of the energy-using product has been made under this Act.
