Section 8

(1)
The State Fisheries Officer may, after consultation with the Minister, by notification published in the Gazette, issue such direction as he deems proper, to regulate fisheries in the State and any person mentioned in the direction or affected thereby, shall comply therewith unless expressly exempted therefrom in writing by the State
Fisheries Officer.
(2)
Any direction issued by the State Fisheries Officer shall be displayed or exhibited in such public places or published or advertised in any newspaper circulating in the State, as he deems fit.
