Change of name of limited liability partnership
of Limited Liability Partnerships Act 2012
(2)
Where a limited liability partnership changes its name under this section, the Registrar shall—
(a)
enter the new name in the register in place of the former name; and
(b)
issue a notice of confirmation of the change of name.
(3)
The change of name under this section shall have effect from the
20 Laws of Malaysia ACT 743
date on which the notice of confirmation was issued under paragraph
(2)
.
(4)
A change of name of a limited liability partnership under this
Act does not—
(a)
affect any rights or obligations of the limited liability partnership; or
(b)
render defective any legal proceedings by or against the limited liability partnership.
(5)
Any legal proceedings that might have been continued or commenced against the limited liability partnership by its former name may be continued or commenced against it by its new name.
