Section 54

Every member of the Reserve (hereinafter referred to as “a reserve police officer”) shall, subject to sections 62, 63 and 64, serve in the

Reserve for a period of ten years from the date of his retirement or until he reaches an age five years greater than the age for compulsory retirement, whichever is the earlier.
