Mobilization of the Reserve

Section 55
(1)
The Reserve or any part thereof may be mobilized by an order of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at any time when the security of
Malaysia is threatened or when a Proclamation of Emergency is issued.
(2)
Subsection (1) shall not affect any reserve police officer who is a Member of Parliament or of the Legislative Assembly of a State or who holds a salaried appointment in the Government of Malaysia or of any State, for so long as he is such a Member or holds such appointment.
