Exemption
Notwithstanding paragraph 28(d) of the *Post Office Act 1947 [Act 211], it shall not be an offence for the licensee or the
Board or any of the officers, employees or agents of the licensee or the Board to send by post within Malaysia any coupon, ticket, card or form issued by the licensee or the Board as the case may be for the purpose of pool betting in accordance with this Act and for any bettor to send in by post within Malaysia such coupon, ticket, card or form to the licensee or the Board.
(2)
Except as provided in this section, any person who sends by post any advertisement, form or document relating to pool betting shall be guilty of an offence and upon conviction shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to both.
