Section 22
The responsibility of the Railway Department as a carrier of goods shall be as set out in section 13 of the
Ordinance with the following additions:
(a)
the Railway Department will not accept responsibility for goods loaded at or received or delivered to stations or halts where there is no resident Station Master other than responsibility for loss or damage directly attributable to carelessness on the part of the Railway officials;

(b)
all articles whether for conveyance as goods or parcels and whether for conveyance by passenger, mixed or goods trains will be conveyed at the owner’s risk and the owner’s risk declaration on the
Consignment Note must be executed at the time of acceptance for conveyance.
Responsibility of the Railway Department for passengers’ luggage.
