(1)
Before the Director issues a permit under section 10 –
(a)
where the applicant is required to undertake an environmental impact assessment as required under any written law in respect of the setting up of an aquaculture premise, the Director may require the applicant to submit a copy of such environmental impact assessment report; or
(b)
where the applicant is required to have a licence, permit or authorisation under any other written laws in respect of the setting up or operation of an aquaculture premise, the Director may require the applicant to submit a copy of such a licence, permit or authorisation.
(2)
The Director may refuse to issue such permit if the applicant fails to comply with subsection (1).
