Duty of developer to convene first annual general meeting
of Strata Management Ordinance, 2019

It shall be the duty of the developer to convene the first annual general meeting of the management corporation within one month after the expiration of the initial period in accordance with the Sixth Schedule.
(2)
Any developer who fails to comply with subsection (1)
shall be guilty of an offence and shall, upon conviction, be punished with a fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty thousand

ringgit or imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to both.
(3)
If the developer fails to convene the first annual general meeting within the period specified in subsection (1), the
Commissioner may, on application by a subsidiary proprietor, appoint a person to convene the first annual general meeting of the management corporation within such time as may be specified by the Commissioner, and the developer shall bear all the expenses incurred for the purpose relating to the appointment of such person and the convening of the first annual general meeting.
