Section 48

Any male who has attained puberty and who fails to attend Friday Prayer in the mosque of his kariah for three consecutive occasions without uzur syarie shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.

Any Muslim who without uzur syarie intentionally disregards his obligation to perform prayer five times a day, shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
