Duration and renewal of licences or certificate of authorization
of National Kenaf and Tobacco Board Act 2009
A licence other than a manufacturing licence, or a certificate of authorization shall, unless sooner revoked, be valid for a period not exceeding three years or any period as the Minister deems fit.
(2)
An application to renew a licence or certificate of authorization shall be made by the licensee or holder of the certificate not less than two months before the date of expiry of the licence or certificate.
(3)
Any application for renewal of a licence or certificate of authorization which is not made within the time specified in subsection (2) but made before the date of expiry of the licence or certificate of authorization shall be subject to a payment of a penalty as may be determined by the Board.
(4)
No application for renewal of a licence or certificate of authorization shall be considered if the application is made after the date of expiry of the licence or certificate.
(5)
The Board may renew a licence or certificate of authorization if the licensee or the holder of the certificate of authorization has complied with all the conditions, limitations or restrictions imposed under subsection 41(3).
(6)
Where an application for renewal of a licence or certificate of authorization is approved, the licence or certificate of authorization shall be issued upon payment of the prescribed fee.
