For the purposes of subsection (1), the registered proprietor shall comply with any requirement as prescribed.

The Registrar shall cancel the registration of the geographical indication if the Registrar is satisfied that the registered proprietor has complied with the requirements as prescribed.

Where the registration of the geographical indication is voluntarily cancelled under this section, the rights conferred by the registration of the geographical indication on any interested party of goods identified by the geographical indication shall cease to exist with effect from the date of the cancellation of the registration.
