Section 39

of GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATIONS ACT 2022

Section 39

For the purposes of this Part—

(a)

“Controller”, “Deputy Controller” or “Assistant Controller”

means the Controller, Deputy Controller or Assistant

Controller of Trade Descriptions appointed under section 3

of the Trade Descriptions Act 2011 [Act 730]; and

(b)

“premises” means any place, stationary or otherwise, established or set up by any person, whether such place is with or without enclosure, and includes a vehicle, aircraft, ship and any other vessel.
