Section 16
Complaints Committee
of Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission Act 2009
The Commission shall establish a Complaints Committee which shall consist of such number of officers of the Commission as the Commission deems necessary or expedient.
(2)
The Complaints Committee shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
(a)
to receive complaints of misconduct from any person to the Commission;
(b)
to keep and maintain a register of all complaints received by the Commission;
(c)
to assess the complaints in accordance with section 23;
(d)
to determine the nature of the misconduct;
(e)
to conduct any preliminary investigation into the complaint under section 25; and
(f)
to inform the complainant of the status of his complaint and the actions taken after the Commission has made its findings.
