Section 19

If a person knowingly makes a false answer to any question contained in the attestation paper which has been put to him by or by direction of the Magistrate or the recruiting officer before whom he appears for the purpose of being attested, he shall, on conviction, be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to a fine not exceeding two hundred ringgit or to both.

If a person commits an offence under this section and has been attested as a serviceman, he shall be liable, at the discretion of the competent authority, to be proceeded against before the court of a

Magistrate or to be tried by court-martial for the offence.
