Section 26C
(1)
A person whether in full-time service in the regular forces or in the reserve pursuant to sections 24 to 26A and 27 shall upon his

discharge or completion of service in the reserve be transferred to the reserve for a period of five years commencing from the day following his discharge or completion of service in the reserve:
Provided that no person shall be required to serve in the reserve after he has attained the age of fifty years.
(2)
The Armed Forces Council may in its discretion exempt any person or category of persons from such reserve service.
