Section 36
(1)
The Director General, an assigned solicitor or an appointed officer may provide legal companion services to children who are victims of any crime in any proceedings specified in the Third
Schedule regardless of nationality and citizenship of the child.
(2)
Notwithstanding subsection (1), the Director General may, in the interests of justice, provide legal companion services to a person who has attained the age of eighteen years if such person was a victim of any crime in any proceedings specified in the
Third Schedule and was still a child at the time such proceedings were commenced in court.
