Application for mediation services
of Legal Aid and Public Defence Act 2026
An application by a person or an aided person who wishes to obtain mediation services shall be made to the Director
General in such manner as may be determined by the Director
General.
(2)
An application under subsection (1) shall be accompanied by such information, particulars or documents as may be determined by the Director General.

After considering the application, the Director General may approve the provision of mediation services to the applicant and may provide mediation services to the applicant in accordance with the regulations prescribed by the Minister.
(4)
If the applicant is a child, the application shall be made on behalf of the child by his parents or guardian and any reference to the applicant in this Chapter shall include the parents or guardian of the child.
