Section 50

The area of a mining lease granted under this Ordinance shall be of such size reasonably required for the mine as the Authority may determine after consultation with the State Planning Authority provided that if a mining lease or certificate is to be issued for an area exceeding two thousand hectares, the concurrence of the Majlis

Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri shall be obtained prior to the issuance thereof.

Lessee to be granted priority in applying for prospecting licence in respect of contiguous areas
