Section 44
(1)
Where any person licensed under this Act is convicted of committing a breach of the conditions in the licence, the licence shall be deemed to be suspended and of no effect pending an appeal against conviction (if any) and if the appeal against conviction is dismissed, shall be deemed to be void.
(2)
Where a person who has been previously convicted of an offence under this Act, is convicted of an offence under this Act and the fine (if any) in both convictions is or exceeds five hundred dollars, he shall be disqualified from holding any licence for a period of five years commencing on the date when the proceedings in respect of the second or subsequent conviction are finally concluded.
