Section 22

Every hand operated flushing cistern serving a urinal shall be so designed as to give a flush of not less than one gallon nor more than one-and-a-half gallons per stall, or per two feet three inches width of slab, with a permitted variation of plus or minus five per cent, and, subject thereto, shall comply with B.S.S. 1125: 1959 for water closet flushing cisterns.
