Aborigine may hunt certain wildlife

Section 51
(1)

Notwithstanding anything in this Act, an aborigine may hunt any protected wildlife as specified in the Sixth Schedule for his sustenance or the sustenance of his family members.

(2)

Any protected wildlife hunted under subsection (1) shall not be sold or exchanged for food, monetary gains or any other thing.

(3)

Any aborigine who contravenes this section commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding ten thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
