Power of Minister to direct that national language be used
of Private Higher Educational Institutions Act 1996
In respect of an approval granted by the Minister under subsection 41(3) the Minister may at any time thereafter direct that the national language be used to conduct such course of study.
(2)
The direction of the Minister under subsection (1)—
(a)
shall only apply to students who are citizens of Malaysia for the new intake of the private higher educational institution who have yet to follow such course of study; and
(b)
shall not apply to the other students following such course of study unless the Minister is satisfied that they will not be adversely affected.
(3)
The Minister may impose conditions on a private higher educational institution for the purpose of giving effect to his direction under subsection (1).
