Section 89
(1)
Subject to the provision of Article 153 of the Federal
Constitution, membership of a private higher educational institution,

whether as an officer, teacher or student, shall be open to all persons irrespective of sex, race, religion, nationality or class.
(2)
No test of religious belief or profession shall be adopted or imposed in order to entitle any person to be admitted to such membership or to be awarded any degree, diploma or certificate nor shall any fellowship, scholarship, exhibition, bursary, medal, prize, other distinction or award be limited to persons of any particular race, religion, nationality or class.
