Privileged communications with registered geographical indication agent

All communications made between a registered geographical indication agent and the person who appoints and authorizes the agent in matters relating to geographical indications, and any

record or document made for the purposes of such communications, are privileged to the same extent as communications between a solicitor and his client.
(2)
A registered geographical indication agent has, in relation to documents and property of the person who appoints and authorizes the agent in a matter relating to geographical indication, the same right of lien that a solicitor has in relation to the documents and property of a client.
