Cleansing of premises

Section 21

—

(1)

The local authority may by notice in writing require the owner or occupier of any premises to cleanse, white-wash, colour-wash, paint or disinfect his premises within a time to be stated in the notice and in such manner and such colour, if any, as may be specified in the notice.

(2)

If the owner or occupier fails to comply with the notice within the period specified therein, the local authority may itself cause the work to be done and recover the cost and expenses thereof in the manner hereinafter provided.
