Launch permit requirement

Section 17
(1)
Any launch service provider who intends to launch a space object into space from any launch facility in Malaysia shall apply for a launch permit.
(2)
Any person who fails to comply with subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable—
(a)
where such person is an individual, to a fine not exceeding thirty million ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years or to both; or
(b)
where such person is a body corporate, to a fine not exceeding sixty million ringgit.
