Section 64
(1)
A defendant who disputes his liability for the whole or part of any claim in the action may—
(a)
at any time before the day of appearance, serve on the plaintiff a defence; or
(b)
appear on the day of appearance and dispute the plaintiff’s claim.
(2)
Where a defendant appears in Court and disputes the plaintiff’s claim, the Court may order him to serve a defence within such time as it may direct.
(3)
A defence shall be in Form MS 16.
