Section 24

Every connection between a lead or lead alloy pipe and a pipe of any other metal shall be made by means of a screw-ferrule of corrosion-resisting alloy wiped on to the lead or lead alloy, or by means of some other equally efficient and suitable watertight joint approved by the Water Authority.
