Section 120
(1)
A person, other than a licensed dealer or licensed taxidermist, shall purchase or acquire any protected wildlife or any part or derivative of any protected wildlife from—
(a)
a licensed dealer or licensed taxidermist; or
70 Laws of Malaysia
(b)
a Director where it is sold by the Director pursuant to this
Act.
(2)
Any person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding twenty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.
