Fee schedule
of Pathology Laboratory Act 2007
The Minister may make regulations prescribing a fee schedule for any licensed pathology laboratory.
(2)
The Minister may amend the fee schedule by order published in the Gazette.
(3)
A licensed pathology laboratory for which a fee schedule has been prescribed under this section shall comply with such fee schedule.
(4)
A person who fails to comply with subsection (3) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable—
(a)
in the case of a sole proprietor—
(i)
to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years, or to both; and
(ii)
for a continuing offence, to a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit for every day or part of a day during which the offence continues after conviction; or
(b)
in the case of a body corporate or partnership—
(i)
to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand ringgit; and
(ii)
for a continuing offence, to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit for every day or part of a day during which the offence continues after conviction.
