Section 20
Section 20 of the principal Act is amended—
of Atomic Energy Licensing (Amendment) Act 2025
(a)
in the shoulder note, by inserting after the word “Returns”
the words “of possession and control”;
(b)
in subsection (1)—
(i)
by substituting for the words “, prescribed substance or irradiating apparatus” wherever appearing the words “or radiation generator”; and
(ii)
by inserting after the word “return” the words
“of possession or control”;
(c)
in subsection (2), by substituting for the words “, prescribed substance or irradiating apparatus” the words “or radiation generator”; and
(d)
by inserting after subsection (2) the following subsection:
“(3) Any licensee who contravenes subsection (1)
or (2) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years or to a fine not exceeding five hundred thousand ringgit or to both.”.
