Temporary occupation licences not capable of transfer or transmission on death
of National Land Code (Revised - 2020)
Except so far as it is otherwise prescribed, a temporary occupation licence shall not be capable of assignment; and every such licence shall, except as provided in section 416, terminate on the death of the person, or dissolution of the body, for the time being entitled to the benefit thereof.
Deposits in respect of temporary occupation licence 68a. The State Authority may if it thinks fit direct that, except in such circumstances as may be specified in the direction, the Land Administrator or other officer by whom any temporary occupation licence is issued shall require the person or body to whom it is issued to deposit with him such sum as he may consider reasonable as security for the due performance and observance of the provisions to which the licence is subject and the rehabilitation of the land to which the temporary occupation licence relates upon the termination thereof.
