Section 7
The Minister may by notification in the Gazette of the Federation delegate to the Director General, subject to such conditions and restrictions as may be prescribed in the notification, the exercise of any powers or the performance of any duties conferred or imposed on him by or under this Act:
Provided that—
(i)
this section shall not apply to any power of the Minister under this Act to make orders; and 51
(ii)
the giving of a notification under this section with respect to any power or duty shall not prevent the
Minister from exercising that power or performing that duty in person in any case where it appears to him expedient to do so.
