Section 54
(1)
Notwithstanding anything in this Act, any owner or occupier of land may use birdlime for the bona fide destruction of grain-eating birds found damaging or destroying growing cereals during the period when the crop is ripe or ripening:
Provided that the owner or occupier shall when the crop is reaped effectively destroy any birdlime and any containers sticks or other material upon which birdlime has been used.
(2)
A Game Warden or an authorized officer may give directions-
(b)
as to ensure adequate supervision and control over the use of the birdlime.
(a)
as to the setting of the birdlime; and
(3)
Any person authorized to use birdlime shall comply with the directions.
