Section 79
(1)
Any woman who becomes pregnant or delivers a child out of wedlock shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
(2)
A fully developed child delivered by a woman within six months of her marriage, shall be deemed to have been born out of wedlock for the purpose of this Enactment.
(3)
The burden of proving that the woman had sexual intercourse under syubhat or in like manner or was married within the period acceptable under Hukum Syarak lies on the woman.
